16 Weeks ago today, we were blessed with Lucy.
Here's a funny little story- as many of you know, Rachel met my entire family and ALL of my closest friends two days after meeting me- she came to my graduation party from Smith School for Social Work. During the party, one of my dear friends, George Pappas, and I were talking and I said to him, "This is the woman that I am going to marry." He reminded me of that conversation on our wedding day and it brought joy to my heart. It just goes to show, when you meet your soul mate, you know it immediately!
Life is good in the Masson household. However, Ms. Lucy is suffering from her very first cold- she sounds like a seal barking when she coughs, she's sneezy & has a snotty nose. She and I spent "good quality time" together this morning from 4am until it was time to go to daycare... at which point, she fell fast asleep. Hopefully this cold will pass quickly! I can't imagine having a miserable cold right now because it's been 90- 95 degrees outside with about the same percentage of humidity- the days are long and nights are long... it's never comfortable even with our one lousy AC running on the highest setting!
But, as I said previously, "Life is Good!"
